I've heard that it is common and a terrible idea.

Common. Frequently leads to awkwardness.

Sounds like an awful idea.

Common and actually seems like a great idea. I have many friends who are now happy couples, and the one experience I had didn't lead to awkwardness. We are still friends, but that might just be my personality.

I have this warped expectation that female law students are all weirdly hot, sexually repressed baskets of crazy which is why I assume - probably irrationally so - that dating in LS is a bad idea.

At my school they mentioned that roughly 10 percent of each class marries each other.

Holy cow. That's material enough to merit adding "chances of acquiring jobless spouse" to every potential law student's COA calculation.

I believe that. I mean, who else would want a UChicago student?

Yeah, but I bet the lack of sexual repression would be nice. Shame I am already committed.

Actually, that is why you should only apply to law schools that also have a medical school on the same campus. Then check the rating of the med school and see if your hot doctor lady or man can support you if you don't have a job upon graduation. And we all know from the TV that all female doctors are hot and for the women, all male med students look like George Clooney....

Problem solved.

Ya know, it would also depend on where you go to law school. If you are at W&L good luck finding anyone else to date. If you are in Boston or NYC you have plenty of locals. If you are at Ole Miss the incoming freshman class will be duly impressed by you 1LS status and there will certainly be no need to date the other old folks.....

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
