Question about legal careers at Wealthy Family Offices

Hello,
My ultimate goal is to one day work for a wealthy famiy directly as part of their Family Office( Many wealthy families like the Rockefellers have full fledged offices with in house legal departmentsm in house investments funds, etc) My questions are the following:
1. What type of post-law experience would one need to get hired at a wealthy family office? I doubt that they would hire right out of law school, so what type of firm experience or such would be required?
2. To anyone's knowledge, what are working conditions and compensation like at private family offices?
I would tremendously appreciate any thoughts.
Thanks
