I have a phone interview coming up with a school that I am waitlisted at.

What should I be expecting in this interview?

why are you interested in this school - be prepared with specific reasons - that they're in your target range of schools, you're attracted to their outer space basketweaving study abroad semester in the Congo, that you've spoken with current students and have heard great reviews of the faculty, that they have an excellent reputation in northwestern Springfield, MO, which is where you want to practice.

what makes you stand apart from the other applicants

why you're interested in pursuing legal studies at all

what you want to do after going to law school

Some schools use it to make sure that if they offer you a position there that you won't just immediately reject them... it's a way of protecting their acceptance rate.

Nobody would ever believe believe someone actually wants to work in Springfield, that city sucks.
