this may sound very naive so apologies in advance...

what do the fin. aid packages look like from law schools? are they similar to undergrad? how will my son know how much to request in loans? will the school provide all the necessary info?

Haha completely random thread, but ok. It varies depending on the school. Some schools give you scholarships with (or within a few weeks of) acceptance letters. Some schools don't give anything out until they have your fasfa. So it really depends. Some schools will send loan info with scholarship info.

Total estimated costs will be on the website, and many schools will send packets including this.

Um, shouldn't your son be researching this himself, now that he's applying to Big Boy School?

Also, a protip from the dean of admissions at Northwestern: Do NOT call the school on your son's behalf or write him a letter of recommendation.
