A choice

So I have a friend that is kind of walking me through the whole lsat and law school application process. As we were talking the other day he told about his situation.
He was accepted to a top 3 school, but no scholarship money. He also got in at a lower ranked school, still in the top 75, but a full free ride all three years.
I know what he chose. I think I know what I might choose. But I want to hear from other people about what they would choose. Perhaps some of you have even been in this exact same position?

The poll says IVY. I would not pay sticker at Cornell over a full ride somewhere else. However, I would pay sticker at Harvard, Yale, or Stanford above full rides at most T1s.

by top 3 you mean Harvard, Cooley, Georgetown right? Or do you mean the USNW rankings? I'm just kidding, i saw the Cooley rankings today and thought it was kind of funny.

...If he was accepted to HYS, he would most likely have gotten money at a higher ranked school than 'top 75.' That's the option I would take, depending on the school. But I don't personally value Ivy just for being Ivy.

I was not saying Stanford was an Ivy. But I would rather go to Stanford than Cornell or Penn.

Agree with this. If your friend was accepted to HYS, I would be surprised if he didn't get a full ride at some of the T1 schools, even T30.
Also, HYS don't give out merit aids from what I know.
