Thanksgiving Break for 1Ls

I was looking for tickets home for Thanksgiving break, and was wondering what most 1Ls do during this time (and what most 1Ls wish they did.) I have read some people say that it is too close to exam time. Also, with my school, we don't even have a break until Thanksgiving day. With flight options, I basically can only go home for two days max.

I've read the thread polling students on what they're going to do (http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 3&t=138375). I just want more substantive, 1L-specific advice.

I went home for Thanksgiving. I took a couple days off and studied the couple days after that.

I haven't gone home the last two years, but I have driven north to do thanksgiving with my brother and aunt. But I bring books with me.

At my school we had the whole week off. I didn't go home because I told myself I was going to study. I didn't study much, I mostly relaxed and played video games. I worked on outlines and took maybe one or two practice exams. You can definitely take a break and go home if you want.

Yeah definitely take a break and go home. Just bring some books with you to read on the plane/train/bus.
