Top Law Schools

Hi,

I just recently found out my grandmother has liver cancer. She went through surgery to remove the tumor last week. But, now she has a intestinal obstruction and potentially not going to make it through to next week.

I've gotten into University of Denver Sturm Law School, but I might consider deferral to next year. I don't know if I should though. If my grandmother does die I worry about how much it will affect my focus. I don't want to mess up my 1L.

Should I defer?

It's a personal choice up to you, but law school will always be there so reapplying is always an option.

I think I might defer...my grandmother just died today....

Don't defer yet. Wait a week or two and see how you feel.
