Top Law Schools

I took an LRW class at a top law school while pursuing an MA. Will some law schools give credit for it? Would it even be advisable to substitute if possible?

The answer is almost certainly no. The first year curriculum, including legal writing, is fixed and mandatory for all students at most accredited schools. Academic regs also probably state that no credit is given toward a J.D. for any courses taken at any school prior to enrollment in the J.D. program (excepting transfers who did all of 1L at another law school). And if you could do it, you would not want to. Legal writing is, in the long term, the most useful course you will take first year.

If a school accepts that, you shouldn't want to go there... The first year course is fixed for a reason.
