Did TLS Help?

Let me start of by saying that TLS is an incredible resource. From soup to nuts, I have found it to be the single best source of information about law school. Getting to the point, the various articles posted regarding how to do well during 1L seem to be very insightful and even practical (if not a crap ton of work). Nevertheless you often see people complaining about how arbitrary grading is; even those that do very well sometimes concede this point. I thought it would be interesting to see what percentage of those who followed any one of the various guides found on TLS actually managed to do very well. I realize this poll will be flawed due to several factors, but I think it will still prove interesting.
Since a poll is quite limiting, maybe those who followed particular/mixed methods can also share what worked, what didn't, and why?
