I don't know why I am compelled to post here...but here it goes:

If you have any doubts about your relationship, I think it's time to end it. Obviously you've become too comfortable with her, and I think it is in your best interest to break-up with her (personally and for your academic success). Furthermore, if I was her, I wouldn't want to be dating someone who imagined themselves with more attractive girls (but whatever you do, please don't mention this to her in your break-up).

Overall, I think it would do both you and her more harm if you stay together then if you break-up. It might not be easy now, but in the long-run it'll be worth it.

Because my partner and I were in a better place than what OP describes BEFORE the stress hit. If we were in that zone, we would have crashed and burned.

And in the veterinary industry, no such laws protect students or employees in my state.
