Can I assign another letter of recommendation after transmitting my application online?

yep

edit: I should say that I know you can get one uploaded/sent after sending applications. I had already assigned one that was sent out after my apps, though, so I shouldn't be so quick to say yes.

Thanks.

Well, that was simple... now may this thread quickly slide into obscurity.

Oh dammit. I see your edit. So you had transmit your application via LSAC and afterwards LSAC received a LoR that you attached following the transmittal of the application? Am I reading you correctly?

Yes, you can send in another LOR after you transmit your application, unless of course you've hit the maximum allowed by that school.

Whether the school considers your app with or without the LOR is another matter, so you might want to add a note that says that another LOR is coming.

I knew I was going to have 3 LORs, but by the time I wanted to send applications, only 2 had made it to LSAC. So I sent them with all 3 assigned, but only 2 transmitted. When the 3rd came in, it was sent to the schools.

haha and sorry for the ninja edit

...twice.

NU doesn't allow you to have an additional LOR sent through LSAC after your application is submitted. I'm not even sure they'll take a LOR if you have it mailed directly to the school. They're really big on their own CPE form.

That's the only school I know of that's like that, though.
