Top Law Schools

Hi,

It's been suggested that I ED to NU (as many people are suggested to do) since I am more of a non traditional student. When I see the requisite work experience mentioned, it almost always says 'post-grad' work experience. I've maintained a decent career over the past five years while completing undergrad. It's nothing flashy, but it pays the bills. Is concurrent enrollment/WE considered at the same weight as post graduate work for the purpose of admissions? I am working in my field and basically hold the position that I am going to school to get. I am assuming there wouldn't be much difference, but you never know.

It really depends on how substantive your work experience during school has been. Are you working at least 40 hours a week and taking classes at night and on the weekends?

They're looking for adults, not K-JD kids who've never worked at anything more "serious" than being a part-time barista, and WE is what they've decided to use as an indicator of maturity. If your WE is "serious" and you've been supporting yourself (not just working for spending money while mom and dad pay your bills), and you sound like a grownup at your interview, you're probably ok.

Yup. I work 40+ hours a week, support myself, etc. Leadership level. Excellent.
