Land Use / Real Estate Practice

Hey All,
I currently am getting a masters degree from a top five program in the country in City & Regional Planning w/Real Estate Development focus-- After taking some courses in our law school as well, I've discovered my fascination for land use/real estate law. I'm now thinking about applying for law school. I would be applying to LS in in 2012.
Say I want to work for Latham & Watkins in their Land Use/Real Estate Practice, how possible is this and what is the best strategy I can take towards achieving that goal?
Stats:
3.5 UGPA; 3.8 Grad GPA; Ivy League; URM; Work experience with NGO's, UN, Government; Some honors & awards.

Very possible, especially if you attend a T-14 school. Study for the LSAT, score as close to a 180 as possible, attend the best law school that accepts you, get great grades . . . good luck!

There are to many factors to predict. Go to a T14 or strong regional in a major market and get extremely good grades and find focused internships

1. Score > 172 on the LSAT (or > 174)
2. Go to Columbia (or Harvard)
3. ...
4. Profit immensely.
