Retaking LSAT and working for a year

Okay, so right now I am leaning towards retaking the LSAT in October and applying for Fall 2012. I got a 150 on my first test, really didn't give it my all, and think that with some better prep and effort I can raise my score. I graduated from University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Poli Sci so I was planning on working this year while I prep and take the LSAT and apply to law school. My question is what should I do about a job? I kind of just decided this a few weeks ago and I really don't have any jobs lined up for the summer or the rest of the year for that matter. I talked to about 5 different law firms in Pittsburgh, all of which I knew a partner in the firm, but none are looking to hire. Most told me they haven't hired mailroom people since 2008 and others said that they are only looking for help from students in law school. Right now it's looking like I may be forced to take a job outside the field so I can pay rent and living expenses--most likely a waiter or valet job at a local country club. Will this hurt my chance at admissions? Will law schools look down upon the fact that in my year between undergrad and law school I didn't take a job in the field?

It definitely doesn't have to be a job in the field but I'm not sure they're exactly gonna be impressed by a waitering or a valet job.

It won't hurt, but it won't help like a prestigous, interesting or even professional job would. Get an entry level sales job and quit in 14 months

Get a job where ever and then start looking for a job that actually interests you, in this economic climate one can't be incredibly picking about employment, especially with just a BA

It doesn't really matter what kind of job you have had, work at Mickey D's they won't give a crap.
Make weird Youtube videos in your basement and start a business, they don't give a jack.
