Top Law Schools

Hey, I'm wondering what law schools think about having a study abroad semester listed on the transcript. Is it regarded as good/bad or do they even care? I understand that lsat score and gpa are the most important factors, but I'm hoping that my study abroad experience will boost my chances of getting in to a good school. What do you guys think?

It won't (most admissions don't care). The only way a study abroad experience could help would be to provide something interesting for your personal statement. But most of the time people incorporating their "eye-opening" experiences of living in another country for a few months into a personal statement makes for a pretty weak and annoying statement.

Be glad you had a fun experience, but don't expect it to help in admissions.

Wow, it's crazy that everything is so focused on numbers. Oh well I had a good time so I can't complain.

Even if it wasn't focused on numbers, studying abroad isn't rare at all.

Will LSAC use my grades from abroad when calculating my GPA? I studied at an American school abroad and got all As but my university here in the US doesn't consider them when calculating my GPA which is slightly annoying.

Your LSAC GPA will include study abroad grades.
