About becoming an Intellectual Property Attorney?

I want to become an IP Attorney. Can I just get a degree in political science or is a science degree necessary? I want to specialize in litigation.

science degrees are really only important for patent law, i think.

Engineering/Advanced Hard Science is necessary for Patent Prosecution. It isn't necessary for IP litigation.

While science degrees aren't neccesary for litigation, they are preferred.
Top grades from a top LS will probably trump a hard science/engr degree plus mediocre grades and LS for litigation.
So, if you're going to do lit, I wouldn't major in engineering. You might consider something like chemistry, IFF you're confident you can do well gradewise.
