I know that law schools dislike it when people major in things like "Pre-Law" or "Legal Studies." What about minors though? If I minor in something like "Philosophy, Politics and Law" or "Legal Studies" or "Law and Society" will T14 law schools look down on this?

Thanks!

I don't really think they give a shit, honestly. Just do whatever you want. Don't expect it to help in lol school though.

Law schools don't care at all what you major in. Underwater Basket Disassembly with a 4.0 trumps Business with a 3.0.

The end.

Why minor in something you plan on spending 3 years studying at a professional school?

Major/minor in something that will give you other options besides law school. Doing so won't hurt your law school chances (unless you tank your grades) and might give you a good plan b so that you don't become one of the chorus of "but I have no other choice but go into $100,000 more debt even though job prospects aren't that great" folks out there.

I think the reason is the coloration to poor LSAT scores from pre-law majors

Pre-Law SERIOUSLY HELPS in law school. Of course this isn't true of all programs, but my pre-law minor was very useful and practical. I read about 2/3's of all my con-law and crim-law cases before I got here, I also understood bluebooking which is priceless.
