Best time to take LSAT?

Hi,
I am a second year accounting major. I came in as a Political Science major and took a few classes and decided that I did not want to study it for the next 4 years so I changed to accounting. I am approaching the end of my second year and have just started to get into the core courses of the actual accounting program (I had to do all these prereq classes beforehand). Anyway, I am still interested in law school and just knowing how fast time moves nowadays, I'd like to ask when is the best time to sit for the LSAT? When should I register? I was thinking of taking one class over for my major over the summer and also taking a prep course for the LSAT, or is it too early? Please give me some advice. I look forward to your replies.
Thanks
