Top Law Schools

Just wanted to ask if there are any good organizational systems out there for law school students. (I'm not one, but my boyfriend is.) Especially for someone who sometimes forgets to write assignments or readings down, and does not make use of blackberry/google calendar.

I've seen references to daytimers and franklin covey journals around the internet. Any other ideas? TIA!
