What happens if you graduate with the middle mark of your class at a somewhat better than average school? Does it mean you don't get a job?

Yes. Employment opportunities are directly tied to class rank.

Graduate at median = fucked.

Exceptions being HYS.

You will probably get a job but just not a great one. Then again that depends what you mean buy "slightly above average"

Shit so how come people don't just drop out in 1L after the realize they are below half the class?

EDIT: I mean like that mark is final and they can't bring it up.

Still job opportunities out there. At that point, you have some debt. Might as well go for it.
