Can anyone explain the "index number" found on the LSAC law school report? what does it mean? Does LSAC us different calculations for different schools?

My numbers:

UGA-3.1
Ga. State-85
Alabama-84
UNC-240
Tulane-7.1

for reference, i have a 3.47/165.

I think that is calculated off their own formula, meaning the schools. It should be LSAT ( times something) plus GPA (time something) to equal something.

They use it to auto-admit or auto reject i believe.
