Top Law Schools

Hey guys long time lurker. I'm having a dilemma and so wanted to bounce my thoughts and see what other people say. I took the lsat 3 times: 164, cancel, and 165. I feel like a dumb for not breaking into my pt average of 170. I barely had any sleep the first time(worked into the middle of the night), was sick the second time, and the third time I barely slept...nerves I think.

I have a low gpa 3.13, but I've been working for 6 years now.

Here is my dilemma: I'd like to take it again, but my significant other is at her breaking point and will break up with me if I spend anymore time studying for this thing.

What schools do I realistically have a shot of getting into with $ and without $? How do I take it a 4th time and how will it be viewed? Do I call the law school and asked to be sponsered? Do I have to go to that law school afterwards or pay a fee?

Yes Hot and Yes Awesome. But I view my self-worth through my work and not my family. What I mean is that finding a meaningful career is more importent to me and I think law is that career move.

When you're standing in the bread line with crushing law school debt and no job, other people will judge you by your significant others hotness.

Where do you want to work? You can get in to some fair-to-decent schools, but it all depends on where you want to be.

I'm in the middle atlantic area, and would like to stay on the east coast or eventually get back to the east coast.

Best bet would be W&M, W&L, or Wake with your current stats. You'll get good money at Wake.

BC is probably out because of GPA.

find a way to balance your relationship and studying for a retake... it seems like you just underperformed both times, and the difference between a 165 and 170 is pretty big.

Oh, and if you get sponsored to take the LSAT again your not bound to any school... you just need the official request to be able to register a 4th time

You are sort of borderline for both b/c of your GPA. I would really play up your work experience as much as possible and hope that it helps with the GPA situation.

how does that work? Do I call up the school and ask? I'm also afraid of ending up with like 167 or 168 and not getting that 170.

I feel like with my gpa, unless I get 170. I'm going to be stuck with the same schools as I have now.

So, I guess the question is should I try to retake for the 4th time with a 50/50% I get either high 160's or 170?

She's a good women, been with me for 5 years now, but has reached her breaking point. I can't focus on relationship when I'm bogged down by work and lsat.

I try but I'm not mentally there.

After 5 years, your relationship can't stand up to you having to study? Dump her before law school starts.

Would the UGA or UNC degree be portable back to the say New York or am I stuck in the south?

Would I be able to get $ at CT?

Choose, dump her or propose. Imagine your life both ways and then figure it out. If you propose I bet she won't mind the studying, if she's gone she won't mind it either. Set up a schedule and focus, and then give her some time too. Why can't you do that? I have a kid and I managed to study and still keep her fed. The reason is that you don't really care about anything but yourself right now, at least that's how you're acting.

Or keep stringing her along for the free sex until she makes the decision for you.

It's different. I work long hours. I'm at work for over 10 to 11 hrs each day. I then have to put in the hours to do whatever odd chores and find time to study.
