Top Law Schools

So I'm wondering where I should be at this point in the app cycle.

I've been studying since mid June for the LSAT, which I'm taking in October. I've been doing pretty well on the tests and usually finish in time (sometimes I go over). I have just this week started strictly timing myself and actually stopping after the 35 mins instead of just marking how far I got and keeping going.

I'm thru the Bibles and have just been bangin out the preptests from Cambridge LSAT site. With about 8 weeks to go, I'm trying to get thru 3-4 full length times LSATs each week until test time.

Please let me know if this is a good strategy and if where I am currently at is good enough.

Also, on the application side, I've registered with LSAC and have registered for the LSAT. I've discussed LORs with former professors and with my current employer (I graduated undergrad in 2009 and have been working fulltime since). I plan to contact my undergrad school this week to have them send my shit to LSAC and provide all my LOR people with the appropriate forms.

That said, am I in good shape as far as apps? Or should I accelerate this? Thanks!

It sounds like you're right about where you need to be. The only advice I have is start at least thinking about your PS -- they can take much more time than you think, with editing, rewrites, etc.

I would suggest getting those LORs in asap. I asked professors of mine back in April and one of them still has not sent it in yet. I have also heard that LSAC takes up to three weeks to process the letters and add it to your account once they are received

Really? Mine was processed like 3 days after it was sent. How do you know this?

I have seen some horror story threads in the past. But from my own experience a professor emailed me back yesterday and said it was sent in a month ago... still not posted on my LSAC account. Did you fax yours or snail mail? That could explain it.
