Top Law Schools

Trying to stay motivated through LSAT and Applications, and not having a life, so thought it would be interesting to watch movies that have to do with law schools. Any type, from documentaries, to romance (??), to horror and musicals. Let me know if you have any suggestions and recommendations.

Saw 1-6 involves criminal law and torts

The Paper Chase, it should get you all fired up for law school.

mmm standard: "The Paper Chase", "Legally Blonde"

My personal rec: "A Lawyer Walks into a Bar" - it is a documentary on some recent - and not-so-recent - graduates taking the Bar in California, really funny. Can get on Netflix.

12 Angry Men (no acual lawyering but still awesome for motivation)

Boston Legal (All seasons bc Allan Shore is da man!)

edit: To Kill a Mocking Bird, Eric Brockovich, and Inherit the Wind all come to mind. Someone beat me to 12 Angry Men

Rounders: Best law school movie ever.

More lawyer movies than law student movies, "Witness for the Prosecution". Contains some excellent examples of what not to do in cross examination with appropriate punishments. There's also something to be said for the courtroom scenes in "To Kill a Mockingbird". Both are ancient but classic.

Rounders - Matt Damon, Edward Norton

paper chase is alright. you should read it rather than watch it. It's a really short book and probably could go through it in a day or two.

I think the OP asked for law school movies, not lawyer movies.

read "a civil action" and "1L". the movie for a civil action sucks though.

One L sucks too.

I heard about The Trials of Law School (saw a trailer on youtube) but can't find it anywhere. Anyone heard of it?
