E&E rocks! There are about 7 short answer/essay questions for each topic plus model answers. Awesome for brushing up on things and exam prep.

look at the sticky in Forum for Law Students. it has a lot of great info on supplements for all the classes.

I found the Emanuels and the Chirelstein (sp?) supplement for contracts to be the most helpful. I would wait until you have a had a couple of weeks of classes before buying a supplement. It gives you a chance to find out the teaching style of the professor and find a supplement that complements that best. My professor raved about the Chirelstein supplement and turns out that was the most helpful one for the class

chirelstein is more highly regarded than E&E, but I found Crunchtime to be sufficient

i'd probably get both....chirelstein is more like a traditional "textbook" like you'd get in undergrad, whereas crunchtime is more like a canned outline.

i often use a 'hornbook' like an E&E plus a canned outline like Emanuel's or Gilberts for each class.

Wait and see what your class and prof is like, then consult recommendations here. Look in the library first. If you can't feel out whether a hornbook is good or not after a few minutes flipping through it, it's either not good or you aren't far enough along in the class to need one.
