if you want an answer that goes beyond the obvious personal reasons...employers ITE look for resumes with real work experience that shows a newly minted JD won't fall apart when he or she has to play grown up for the first time ever.Cilent21 wrote:ITE, what good will this really do??DoubleChecks wrote:TITCR, not so much in terms of getting INTO law schools, but i guess for maturity and experiencePearalegal wrote:IMO, if you're a 22 yr old right out of ugrad....take the year off regardless.

No need to, but I can't imagine it hurts when you go to interview if you know how to interview, have experience in the real world supporting yourself, etc.

I just meant in choosing schools..NYAssociate wrote:Aren't you making a lot of assumptions? Because that's exactly the same thing as when you're being questioned by the person who holds your future in his / her hands.

If you really think that the only way to prepare for interviews is actually to have those interviews (which is false, by the way), then go and grab some interviews in the summer before OCI. It's not hard. People will interview you. Whether they'll give you an offer is another question. But it can't hurt to put yourself through the paces.
I sarcastically dismiss everybody. You're not special.
The only way to really know how to interview is to do it. All the practice interviews in the world can't compare to actually interviewing for a real job that you want / need.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
