Accepting financial aid

Pretty straight forward. If I accept a financial aid offer is that tantamount to a promise to go to that school? In other words, should I now withdraw from the places where I am waitlisted?

Why don't you just ask the school instead of random people on the internet

Because I figured I'd get something other than a snarky comment.

I don't think you have to withdraw

My friend was accepted at USC and I 'think' he accepted their financial aid and sent in all his info in. I know he defiately gave them their deposit. He just got off Berkeley's waitlist and torpedoed to accept and tell USC he changed his mind. It all seams to be working out for him.

No, not as far as I've experienced.

I accepted an offer, signed the MPN, and then later that day got off a WL and accepted that. I emailed financial aid at the school I was withdrawing from, let them know, and they responded letting me know they cancelled the award and to have a good day.

I'd check, but I'm pretty sure most places won't have any issues.
