Top Law Schools

I have a question pertaining to the limited portability of regional school degrees. Say if I graduate from a regional top 50 school like Alabama of Kentucky and practiced law in the area for a decade, would it be near impossible to relocate sometime there after. I have a lot of family out in the Colorado area and would ultimately want to end up out there. My immediate family is military and live in Alabama (but will move out west to care for grandparents in about ten years) so I dont want to attend law school in the western realm. Any information I can tap from the infinite wisdom of the TLS would be much appreciated.

No. Your initial job is usually in the area in which you go to school, but after you've been practicing a while, the quality of your work becomes more important than the school you went to.

That's not to say the school won't matter at all, because it will.

But it becomes much easier to move and find another job.
