My schools requires students to wear protective metal collars to prevent throat-cutting incidents.

dude if you didn't read all the casebooks and hornbooks and outlined everything before starting high school you're already behind.

Seriously, though, I think it depends highly on the school. Talk to current students at the school(s) you are considering to get a vibe.

I don't think it's that competitive. After I ripped out the pages of the North Carolina Digest that were needed for the LRW assignment, everyone else pretty much gave up and I got an A without much work.
