LSDAS GPA vs regular gpa

Post by shane0515 » Thu Feb 18, 2010 1:10 am

Hey guys, im a little concerned over my gpa.

My college gpa is a 3.62 How much does the LSDAS gpa bring down your regular gpa?

I'm worried my A- grades which count as 3.7 now and 3.63 with LSDAS will bring down my gpa

It doesn't necessarily bring down your GPA. While it's true that an A- will count for less, plus grades should count for a bit more (3.33 instead of a 3.3 for a B+ and a 4.33 instead of a 4.0 for an A+). For most people I know, it pretty much evened out in the end.

Good luck!

Edit: According to LSAC, an A- is a 3.67, not a 3.63.

Brought me down a whole .05 :( from 3.81 to 3.76. and if I get A's all the way out till i graduate i'll still only have a 3.82 :(

So annoying, because I took 1 study-abroad type class (counted as double units too) that I got a B in the summer after freshman year of HIGH SCHOOL it significantly drops my GPA...sigh :'( (3.847 cum GPA at my school, 3.81 higher ed, and 3.76 lsdas)
