What are your plans for the months right before your 3-year sentences? I'm waiting to hear a definitive answer from the GroupWorkCamps Foundation abouth their summer job, so hopefully I'll be driving around the country all summer helping people in need, and getting paid pretty well for it while having all of my expenses paid for.

Travelling, backpacking, not working

working as much OT as possible and throwing as much $$ into my employer matching retirement plan before jumping ship...

I am going to try to get some stupid job somewhere so that I can make money to upgrade the wardrobe/my furniture/pay for random items(Backpack, for example) that I need for law school but never needed in UG.

I also plan to tan by the pool and do tons of pleasure reading(to get my brain used to lots of reading). I think I will overload on Russian lit.

My goal is to fine-tune my writing skills. I want my writing skills to be second-nature, since I'll assuredly be surrounded by excellent writers.

And entertain my scotch palate.

You people who are intent on training your brains in some way should just relax because the 3 years of law school will be bad enough.

I plan on playing lots of Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer.

i plan on taking whatever low wage shit job i can get with a degree in history, probably starbucks. i'll need few thousand to make the move, buy furniture etc before law school starts.

If I become 0L someday... touring South America on a bike / learning Spanish / being a river guide

Hopefully spending about a month in Portugal to visit family and improve my Portuguese. Gotta resist that urge to speak English with those who know it.

Oh, and I'll be there for pretty much the entirety of the World Cup, so hopefully Portugal does well. It's very exciting to be in Lisbon when the national team is doing well.

Working a menial job, hanging out with my girlfriend, and hitting bars in the off hours.

I need to get hot.
Living at home has made me fat. Getting a job has helped relieve the situation but I am still not up to par.

Other than that... a trip abroad would be amazing but I don't want to go alone and my boyfriend will be unavailable... so just working and buying things.

I love it. I did the same thing last summer, and I really can't explain it, but it's almost like being on vacation all summer, but at the same time learning a great deal about myself. Up in the mountains, out in nature all summer, I learned much more about what I wanted out of life than 20 years of formal education could even come close to teaching me. Not to mention that I got into great shape with all the tennis and hiking!

currently debating between taking the quintessential cross-country roadtrip across america in which i will burn through whatever little savings i will have by then...

and getting a menial job to make a tiny bit of $.

currently leaning toward the former. because, really, when i'll come out of law school in 3.5 yrs with $200k in debt, how much will the +/- $2k i can either lose or gain really going to matter?
