I am registered for the lsat on February 6, 2010. However, i decided not to take it because I am not ready. The deadline to change my date was on January 15, 2010, thus, I am not able to change it. I do not know what are the implications to have on my record that I was absent on the test day, or cancel my test the same day.

They will find you and kill you.

Since you can't change it now, I'd just take it for the experience and then cancel the score, instead of canceling without taking it...

But one counts as one of your three times, and the other doesn't. Doesn't really matter if you're planning on taking it only once, but whatever.

Taking the actual test might be beneficial in your case because you would have something to base your practice tests on. Knowing what the real thing is like might help you take PT's more seriously, and will give you a good idea what to expect when you actually do take it.

Disagree that you ought to "take it for experience."

You may need that third try somewhere down the line.
