Just got a new status checker today and it says I'm referred. What does it mean? And how long can I be waiting for a decision?

I don't think I've heard of the referred status. I think you mean deferred. If that's the case, that means you've been either held over for their regular decision process if you've submitted an early application or you've just been waitlisted if their in their regular decision process.

I have the same thing; I think it means referred as in given to the admissions committee for review.

There should be a button underneath that says "show more information on status." When I click it says

"Your application has been referred to the program for admission consideration."

I think this has been covered before if you search for it...

The Status checker that says 'referred' is the professional school's status checker...it doesn't get updated. Use the one linked to from here: --LinkRemoved-- It will update when you get in. That's how I found I was admitted!

Ah, ok. So how long can we expect a decision do you think?
