I know civils arent nearly as common in law school as EE or CS because of the IP interest, but are there any on here applying and what area do you want to practice in?
At this point, I'd like to do construction or environmental, but I'll also leave the door open for IP if that door is even there for civils... (curious about that also if anyone has insight about it?)

I'm a civil too! Also interested in construction and enviro as well as energy, project finance, and maybe IP as well. Construction law is dead right now, like the industry, but I predict it will blow up in coming years as we come out of the recession. The possibility exists for IP, but its certainly not as easy to get into as it is for electricals. Some firms say that they only consider XYZ engineers/scientists to interview, but others leave it open to all who are eligible for the patent bar. CiE's are eligible, and if you browse IP firm websites, you'll occasionally see civil graduates.
