Congrats!! Could you PM some specifics, maybe?BillClinton Jr wrote:Got money from Vandy and it was a solid offer BUT tried to negotiate and IT WORKED! definitely surprised considering the TLSers saying it doesn't happen and Vandy's initial letter saying it doesn't work. Definitely keeping them in my top 2 still. Moral of the story: nothing to lose by shooting your shot

Successful negotiation with Vandy here as well - they didn't budge that much though

Has need-based aid gone out yet? Or did the scholarships include need aid already within them?

The email said that if you submitted Need Access and FAFSA, need and merit were both considered. Or something to that effect.ramybamy wrote:Has need-based aid gone out yet? Or did the scholarships include need aid already within them?

Who all will be attending the ASW this week? I'm flying in Thursday morning to hang out with the sister, then hitting up the reception in town.

Leaving school tomorrow and heading from Charlotte to Knoxville, then Nashville Thursday morning! Going to the reception that night as well. Never been to Vandy or Nashville in general, so pretty excited to see an entirely new city.

I've started to receive federal aid notifications from a few other schools, does anyone have an idea of when Vanderbilt will send us their notifications?

I'm wearing a dress, so I don't think guys would be out of place in a suit. Given the location, I think it's probably a little more formal than Friday (I'm dressing casual for the tour/classes etc..).bab93 wrote:May be an ignorant question...but what is everyone wearing to the social Thursday night? Going with suit thursday, combination of the context and that I am leaving work in a suit anyway. Jeans on friday though.bab93 wrote:Yeah, that's what I was thinking.
