Update: I made my flight with a couple minutes to spare. I have also been relegated chosen to sit in the window seat of one of the emergency exit rows

Eeee! There are so many this week! I'm so jealous! I really thought about going to Chicago for NU but we have a huge trial coming up at work next week :-/ I am doing a GULC event, but only because I can leave work early instead of taking a day (or more).ugg wrote:ASD!!!!!

I saw Batman vs. Superman last night and I also dug it/don't understand all the hate. I mean, what was really so different from other superhero movies, except maybe a little more plot and fewer lengthy boring action sequences?

Saw it again last night after reading all of the major negative reviews, and most of the complaints are either inaccurate, unfounded, or unfair. The only part that seems odd in retrospect is It's not as good as Winter Soldier or the first Avengers/Iron Man, but it's certainly better than Thor 2, any Iron Man sequel, X-Men 2, 3, and First Class, or any Spider-Man after 2. It blows my mind that less than six months after Fant4stic people have forgotten the difference between good and bad superhero films.capricasixx wrote:I saw Batman vs. Superman last night and I also dug it/don't understand all the hate. This movie is basically on level with the first Captain America movie for me. Somewhat odd pacing justified by the fact that it covers an incredible amount of material and moves pretty fluidly through several major set pieces.
All that being said, shoehorning Lois into

Speaking as a person who hasn't read many superhero comics, and doesn't consider herself a fan of superheroes per se, I can say simply that I did not fall asleep, I wasn't particularly bored, and I even chuckled several times. And everything I rolled my eyes at seemed intentionally eye-roll-inducing.BirdLawExpert wrote:Saw it again last night after reading all of the major negative reviews, and most of the complaints are either inaccurate, unfounded, or unfair. And I have to say, I'm pretty excited for Khal Drogo Man... er, Aquaman.
