I don't know why my post posted twice but there's something mesmerizing about Rebel Wilson chewing in stereo...

In disappointing Friday news x2, my team lost March Madness...and the only trial I was going to get to witness in my two years working at a law firm got postponed past the time I will be working here. :( Why does everything settle!?

Well I know how you feel in bad Friday news. My bracket is busted also. And more terribly, my company unexpectedly shut down and laid off a few hundred employees this week, myself included. So I have had better weeks. If only they could have done this in July...

Returning to work as a teacher after spring break is so much worse than it is as a student.

Waiting on a hybrid of that (for NYU scholarship info, among other loose ends)

Need a status checker with regular updates on my (in)sanity

I vote whoever made the Michigan status check be in charge. It's better than the ones all the others use.

Thanks, they didn't even know I was leaving in 3-4 months. Totally got the jump on me, and 300 of my coworkers... Here is to a Monday not spent at work...

Are you going to try to find something for the summer? I hope you're having a relaxing Monday at least.

Subbing theatre again today but the teacher left me nothing. What horrible scene from Shakespeare should I teach? Leaning towards making them all do the scene in MacBeth where he has a nervous breakdown.

Have them memorize and recite the "What a piece of work is a man" soliloquy.

Gonna nominate American Airlines for delaying my flight on Thursday to the point where I couldn't make the UVA ASW.

Checking in. 25 year old nurse of 3 years, now with a new and improved countdown timer on the home screen of my phone reminding me that soon, my friends, SOON, I will not have to take this figurative and also very literal shit.

But in all seriousness, I'm excited to put in my notice in a few months but also sad I'm leaving this career behind.

So Saturday was my first ASD... at the TTT that is Santa Clara. Of course, if I did end up enrolling there, it would only be because the rest of my cycle fell off a cliff and with the intention of applying to transfer after 1L. So, I went into it looking to see how I would do there for one year only - how are the faculty, other students, facilities... I have to say, I was a little surprised how unimpressed I was given the amount of money flowing into this place.

They trotted out one really good professor with a Harvard/Boalt background and work with the NAACP to teach the mock class, so I was feeling okay, but everybody else who spoke during the day was just regurgitating brochures and quite frankly didn't even seem all that well-spoken. The students seemed empty-headed and completely naive about their job prospects. And the campus grounds were nice - lots of landscaping, an honest-to-god mission in the middle of it - but the law building was stuffy and small, and the law library seemed like a really terrible place to spend any amount of time. I would say the only thing that got me excited all day was their clinic with the Nor Cal Innocence Project, but that's only available to 2Ls and above so not really relevant if I plan to transfer....

TL;DR 50% of my solid options right now suck sweaty ass and I'm starting to panic - elder gods please send me good news from UCLA or USC this week!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
