Anyone else get the 'small token of school pride?'
I want to be grateful, and the admissions note is a nice touch, but this is seriously the most useless thing.

Wait, what did you get? Because I got a drawstring bag with my note. I might have a million of them, but having a Columbia Law one is exciting.TheKisSquared wrote:Anyone else get the 'small token of school pride?'

Hey all so I'm out of the country with some limited internet access and having trouble researching this on my own, anybody know anything about loan disbursement?

hey all. proud member of the incoming class of 2019. this may not be the right place to ask but where are people finding furniture that doesn't break the bank? even as an NY local I'm really shocked by how expensive everything is.

Hi all! I'm currently assigned to a UAH unit with a non-law school aptmate. If there is anyone who currently has a law student as an aptmate and either wants a non-law school aptmate or has no preference and would be kind enough to switch with me, please PM me! I would be forever grateful & compensation in the form of food&drinks may await you once August rolls around

Why do you want a law school roommate so badly?KobetheGOAT wrote:Hi all! I'm currently assigned to a UAH unit with a non-law school aptmate. I've been getting most of mine from local garage sales/FB garage sale groups/craigslist. I have some friends in the city who furnished their whole apartments through the free section on Craigslist.hopeful94 wrote:hey all. proud member of the incoming class of 2019. this may not be the right place to ask but where are people finding furniture that doesn't break the bank? even as an NY local I'm really shocked by how expensive everything is.

I got a bunch from IKEA, but putting it together is kind of a pain. Cheap though.hopeful94 wrote:hey all. proud member of the incoming class of 2019. this may not be the right place to ask but where are people finding furniture that doesn't break the bank? even as an NY local I'm really shocked by how expensive everything is.

Re: Columbia Law Class of 2019
If anyone is looking for off-campus housing, I'm looking to fill my room in a three-bedroom on 107th between Amsterdam and Broadway, about 10 minutes from school. It's $1800 and the lease begins August 1 (however, if moving a week or two into August is better, that is also an option). The room fits a queen-sized bed and has its own bathroom, and the kitchen/living room area is spacious enough for 3 chairs, a large counter-top and a sizeable kitchen. Reply here or use the contact button to message me if interested.

They're synced up with whenever your first class is. So for 1Ls it's the week before Legal MethodsBach-City wrote:A week before 1L Legal Writing starts, or a week before the 2Ls and 3Ls start their classes?Nebby wrote:They're dispersed like a week before your classes beginedditb wrote:Hey all so I'm out of the country with some limited internet access and having trouble researching this on my own, anybody know anything about loan disbursement?
Also, your loan documentation on the fed loans website (GradPLUS correspondence section) will have the disbursement date or you can email finaid for the disbursement date.
Communicate now with those who not only know what a legal education is, but can offer you worthy advice and commentary as you complete the three most educational, yet challenging years of your law related post graduate life.

My Grad PLUS correspondence isn't showing anything right now. Should it be?

Nothing was there for me on the federal aid site either, but I did some poking around and if you go to Student Services Online (ssol.columbia.edu), and then choose Financial Aid > Loan History, it shows the loans I applied for, which provided some reassurance that CLS got all my paperwork and the loans will be coming my way eventually.benwyatt wrote:My Grad PLUS correspondence isn't showing anything right now.
