Case Citation in Memo

Hey, this may be the wrong forum, but hopefully I can get some help.
When citing a case in the text of a memo, is the name underlined?
When citing a case in a citation, is the name underlined? (A citation in the text, not a footnote)
Rule 10 in the BlueBook has led me to believe that the name is underlined in the text, but in normal Roman font in a citation.
My professor said to underline Id., so to be consistent I need to underline rather than italicize, but I may be underlining too much.
Is the case name ALWAYS underlined (or italicized) in a memo no matter where it appears?
