Thank you! Trust me - I've been stalking this thread hoping to get the chance to join in! I got a bitter rejection from USC a couple of weeks back, so this acceptance is just that much sweeter. UCLA (b/c of the Epstein program and CRS specialization) has always been my top choice so the wait has been worth it!!6778628 wrote:Agreed--congrats! Congratulations! Nice to hear some good news. This cycle seems to have taken a frustrating turn for a lot of people.bisa wrote:SO EXCITED TO CHECK IN! I just got into UCLA & the Epstein program via phone call (better this late than never!!!)!!!! This is my top choice school and program!

Re: UCLA Class of 2018
Are scholarships sent via email? Planning on emailing them inquiring about the status of my scholarship consideration. For those of you who did this, did you guys mention the scholarship amounts and deadlines for other schools you got into? I'm $62,500 at NYU and $120k at USC and wondering if I should mention those numbers in my inquiry.
P.S. did you all get an email before your actual scholarship called a "Provisional Award Letter?"

Re: UCLA Class of 2018
Hi Everyone,
Hi, I'm a current 2L at UCLA. I'll answer any questions anyone might have. Also, if you're moving to Westwood early, I'm subletting my half of a 2BR/2BA apartment (so you get 1BR/BA) for June/July in Westwood. It's located on Veteran, on the edge of Westwood Village and is within walking distance to everything you need, including groceries. Furnished apartment with all cookware, etc.
Parking included and within a short drive to Century City, Santa Monica, Culver City, etc.
Asking $1,400/month which includes all utilities, high speed internet, and TV.
Email me for more details!

Re: UCLA Class of 2018
I just got the ePAL too, which doesn't reflect any scholarships as of now. I know I can't expect aid info right away (considering I was accepted 2 days ago; haven't even received my hard copy letter or welcome packet yet), but I'm really hoping for some generosity! They know I'm going to a PILP student/eventual PI lawyer... I'm going to need all the $ help I can get!stephcurry wrote:Are scholarships sent via email? I wonder if there are materials we need to be reading. Other ASWs mock classes had "homework"bisa wrote:

But how do you negotiate after you've already paid their seat deposit? Does UCLA allow you to deposit at more than one school?mec896 wrote:UCLA says come back after seat deposits, which Dean S warned me about, but still disappointing.mec896 wrote:Just got shot down in negotiations with another school, here's hoping UCLA can pull through. End of the ASW email says wear comfortable clothing. Anyone going in jeans and a T-shirt level of comfortable?

How many here are for sure going to UCLA?
Also, I'm not on Facebook. Thoughts on if it's worth it to get back on just to join the group?
