Class of 2018! GW is at the top of my list, but the price tag is a lot. Decision will likely be based on any scholarship money. Anyone already planning on attending?

GW more than trippled my scholarship after I said the word georgetown.giantswan wrote:Not planning on it just yet (also waiting on scholarship decisions) but it's definitely in the mix.
Anyone know how GW is with negotiating? If I could get them to play ball with my WUSTL offer than GW would be an incredibly attractive option.
Lol that's good to know. Did you have a scholarship from Georgetown or was just the acceptance enough to get them to up it?flawschoolkid wrote:GW more than trippled my scholarship after I said the word georgetown.giantswan wrote:Not planning on it just yet (also waiting on scholarship decisions) but it's definitely in the mix.

E-mail starting early February according to the ASW.smccgrey wrote:Any idea how they make scholly offers? is it by email?
Those are the two schools I'm considering. GW has a better location and places more people where I would like to practice, but MONEY!!giantswan wrote:Not planning on it just yet (also waiting on scholarship decisions) but it's definitely in the mix.

Yea I'm really hoping they play ball with my Emory offer, which is basically the same as WUSTL in my mind. Anyone planning on going to ASW in March?Iagreetotheseterms wrote:Those are the two schools I'm considering. I'm coming up from Florida.mickey_mouse wrote:Yea I'm really hoping they play ball with my Emory offer, which is basically the same as WUSTL in my mind. I think it's overlapping with Georgetown's ASW so I'm still debating. Anyone planning on doing both?mickey_mouse wrote:Yea I'm really hoping they play ball with my Emory offer, which is basically the same as WUSTL in my mind. According to the Admitted Students Website, class assignments will be distributed at Orientation: "First-year students need not do anything to register for classes. All 1Ls will be registered by the Law School Records Office just prior to Orientation, when section assignments and booklists will be distributed."niplomo wrote:Most likely starting at GW in the fall. Can anyone shed some light on the Aston? How is the atmosphere/culture there? Any word on the apartment as a whole? Probably not going to see them until move in day
Also anybody know when they tell you what classes you're in?
Awesome ok I didn't see that part about the schedule. I did see the part about the Aston tho. Was just curious if any current students could chime inbethesda wrote:According to the Admitted Students Website, class assignments will be distributed at Orientation: "First-year students need not do anything to register for classes. The website also has some info on Aston (with a few pictures) and a link to a guide students compiled for other area housing options.
I think some of the current students have talked about housing options, including some more details on the Aston in the FB admitted students page.niplomo wrote:Most likely starting at GW in the fall.
