This is amazing, DiniMae!

Maybe premature, but does anyone know where they are planning to stay for ASW?

Does Berk provide any options? If not, I might just be super decadent and live the good life in a hotel room.

Berkeley will send out some info about staying with current students for ASW, at some point.

Checking in! I'm getting married during ASW and my fiancé won't let me attend the Berkeley event. Kind of rude IMO.

But seriously, wish I could make it to ASW. I'll be coming for an individual visit in March and can't wait to tour the campus and city, and hopefully meet you fine folks in August!

I read in some thread that UVa is more liberal with money in their tier....Is that true? If so, that could be a reason.

I have NO idea why Cornell is on there? Maybe they didn't want to leave an Ivy out?

Like DiniMae said, I think there's some reliable evidence out there that UVA was throwing so much money around it wasn't really practical leave it on. Maybe the $$ Cornell is giving out is closer to what Berk would do anyway?

Maybe this is the wrong thread... but if anyone is deciding btw UCLA and Berkeley, please DM me! UCLA was my sure bet because of my focus on immigration law, and I'm still waiting on Stanford, but then BOOM Berkeley comes out of nowhere and admits me. I live in Richmond, CA so it's very close to home. I'm just not sure they'll provide me the best resources for what I eventually want to do.

Pretty sure I will be (I think I might go to SF for a day or two after ASW, so no reason not to go to the last event(s)).

I'm planning on doing this as well, so I will definitely be at the brunch.

I'm local-ish and will be driving to Berkeley Thurs/Fri so I probably will not go just for the brunch on Sat.

Lucky you -- this x-country coordination requires a LOOOONG plane ride and limited options. I think I'll stay and look at apartments because I certainly don't have time to fly out again.

I know that feel though. I have 2 schools on this coast and 11 that are hella far away. I feel like it'd be easier if I was living on the east coast bc I could just knock out S and B in one trip and visit the other ones much more cheaply.

I would hope that S&B are within a week of each other for that reason -- assuming S takes me. But no one has been accepted to pass on the news of asw dates. So.......

Yea I can see how traveling to the east coast for a bunch of schools is painful.
