Hi, I am an Australian lawyer looking to sit the NY Bar exam in July. I am an Australian with a Masters from Columbia working at an international law firm. Sadly I am resitting. I want more than a pass - I hope to be in the top 15%. I live on the Upper East side.

a pass is a pass.... unless you want to transfer your score to another state that requires a higher score (Alaska requires a 280)
Use a bar prep program like BarBri or Themis, and also buy a program that gives additional MBE questions like Adaptibar.
If you're working full time, you should start studying ASAP.

Fellow Aussie here. Was fortunate to pass the Feb bar exam. I now have some Critical Pass flashcards that I'm trying to offload (for free) to someone who'll use them. They really helped me in the lead up to the exam because they're far more concise than the Barbri material. Let me know if you're interested.

FWIW, I agree with the poster above. A pass is a pass. Shoot for 280 if you want to cover all your bases. Anything above that is a waste of your time and energy.
