Board of Law Examiners

Post by Anonymous User » Wed Jan 20, 2021 4:11 pm

Long story short. I called the Board of Law Examiners to see if my C&F concerns would delay or prevent admission. I got a very nice lady who said “absolutely not. Disclose and you will be fine.” This was an anonymous call.

Is there any reason to doubt this response? Or am I just an overthinking law student who can relax finally?

Yes and no. First, always, always, ALWAYS disclose. The Bar finding out about something dicey you DIDN'T disclose is a sure route to rejection. So that's good advice. But no employee of the Bar should be evaluating your C&F application before you've even filed it. She might be right. She probably IS right. But there's no guarantee.
