When to start prep for September bar?

My Barbri study plan has me studying for 17 weeks for the September 30-October 1 bar, beginning with a few hours per day and eventually ramping up to full-time study. I worry about burning out if I follow this plan. I’d much rather study for 8-12 weeks. How are others in this situation approaching prep?

Do what is best for you, I plan on doing maybe 12-14 weeks becuase I want my barbri schedule to be under 5 hours a day, so that I have room to use other supplements. So I would probably start near the end of June.

For sure give yourself no less time than you would have had had you been preparing for July. But that's really a minimum. I think people will definitely benefit from the extra time so if it's in the cards for you to start, do so as soon as you're in the right mindset. So much of what makes preparing for the bar exam difficult is that there is more material to learn than there is time in which to learn it. That'll still be the case for sure! But there's now more time to prepare which balances that equation a little better.

I would study for a least 2 months in advance of the bar exam date. You want time so you dont have to stress out and make the exam prep period any more stressful.
