Employment Dates

When a bar application says employment in the last 10 years - when do we think this starts? 10 years from date of application? Date of bar exam? Or through the past 10 years (ex. including a job that ended in February 2010)?
Interpretation issues... I've been in law school too long.

What? So if you're applying to the July bar with an application deadline in April, you're asking if you should include employment dates from before April 2010? I don't think that's necessary

Right - I'm asking if I should include a job that ended 10 years and 2 months before I'm submitting my application, but still within the year that was 10 years before my application.

My gut take (obviously without knowing which state, let alone reviewing the actual instructions) is that, unless the application specifies otherwise, 10 years means 10 calendar years counting back from the date you sign your application. I would not ordinarily interpret 10 years to include "a job that ended 10 years and 2 months before ... but still within the year that was 10 years before my application".
