Virginia applicant. Received a "status update" letter for character and fitness application a week before test results released. Mortified to open the letter. What could this mean? Do states reject applications before the bar results are released?

I had to make a few amendments. My application had some errors and I misread one disclosure requirement which I promptly amended. I have no criminal or financial issues.

I know this is pure speculation but anyone have any idea?
