Top Law Schools

I'm a Canadian lawyer. Should I pay the $2300 CAD for Themis or self-study? If I was to self-study what materials and books do I need? How long does it take to sufficiently prepare for this exam if I want to write in February 2020?

Any advice for the NY Law Exam and MPRE is also welcomed.

Any other tips and advice appreciated.

It seems Themis would cost me around 3k. I'd prefer to self-study if anyone has any useful guides for doing so.

I am a foreign lawyer - I purchased some Themis books on eBay and also some notes on Craigslist. A friend of mine also provided me with some MBE and MEE question bank from Barbri. I also bought MBE questions from Emmanuel's Bar Review (highly recommended), and also bought MBE questions from Barmax. I passed MBE in Feb 2019 - so I think it's do-able as long as you stick to the materials.

This is a really individualized decision--some people will benefit a lot from the structure of a course. But it's not impossible to do it on your own. I'd recommend the following:

Conviser Mini Review (MBE/MEE) for the law.

Adaptibar and Strategies and Tactics for the MBE for practice questions (Finz is good too but this may cover all the questions you have time for).

Official UBE essays from the NCBE website to look them over and see how all that law you're learning from the Conviser is applied.
