Hi there,
I am just wondering if people have info about how long character & fitness lasts in California. I haven't taken the bar exam in California yet. I am a licensed attorney in Illinois but I'm going to school now to become an elementary school teacher. But I'd still like to have an active law license in CA. If character and fitness is approved, how long do I have to take the bar exam?

A positive moral character determination in Cal is good for three years, so you have to PASS (not just take) the exam within that time period.
