Just wanted to follow up...I ended up transferring my score to Missouri and received the news this morning that my C&F cleared so I will be sworn in in a few weeks so I can waive into DC. It took 2 months from application submission to approval!
I'm a little late but congratulations!!!
Question: DC said you're good to waive? I ask because I thought you had to pass where you took it. I'm also not trying to be a "Debbie Downer" - this info would be useful for future takers in a similar situation. I ended up transferring my score too (job-related) and I'm also getting sworn in in few weeks, so I'm curious.
Congrats again! Well done counselor!!
Thank you kindly!
Yes, you can waive into DC if you are a member in good standing of any other bar and scored 133 or above on the MBE portion of the exam. It does not matter where you took the exam or that you transferred your score, only that the score was earned in an exam that the jurisdiction you're admitted in accepted.

Hi Lourin. I am looking to team up for February 2020 as well. I took the bar twice a really long time ago and missed it each time with a score very close to the passing score then. Since then the UBE has kicked in and I feel new to whole thing. I am quite eager to kick ass and pass this damn exam this time. Would love to exchange some ideas about starting early.
